My wife and I like to take a vacation to Walt Disney World every couple years. A few years ago we packed our bags and of course I packed my travel photography backpack. Now, I try not to take too much gear unless I am planning on a big photography trip and not a family vacation.
When you plan to take images of the Disney fireworks you want to get your spot early or you just might not get a good place to setup. At a certain time (I can’t really remember the time that they block off areas) but you will not be able to stand on the inside of the blocked off areas because that is the walking zone. I could have photographed from a higher point in the park but I like to get close to the action. I just think its a better image when you have all the guests in the shots. Check out this image where a lot of the guests are taking pictures with their cell phones.
This image was captured with a 3 Legged Thing Tripod (The Brian) Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 24mm 1.4, ISO 100, 24mm, F8 and at 4 Seconds. I would prefer to use a remote trigger but I forgot to bring it this time.
